2016 KAIST International Summer School

Welcome to KAIST International Summer School (KISS)

Since its establishment in 2007, KAIST International Summer School (KISS) has worked faithfully to serve as a hub for cultural and academic exchange between students from all over the world. Throughout the past eight years, KISS has evolved to be become an integral part of the summer experience at KAIST and unique opportunity for students, from Korea and abroad, to interlace a tapestry of academic exchange through creative teaching and learning.

We invite you to come and experience innovative teaching and the blending of cultures at KAIST this summer at the 2016 KAIST International Summer School Program. This experience will most-definitely broaden your cultural understanding, deepen your intellectual capacity, and expand your network of friendships. We believe that 2016 KISS will provide a wonderful environment and program that will serve as a catalyst in formulating new friendships and pleasant memories that can be shared around the world.



Application Procedure

  • 1) Register as KAIST International Summer School Applicant on our online application system
  • 2) Fill out and submit online application
  • 3) Make payment for application fee

    * Applicants who do not pay for application fee will not be considered
  • 4) Receive notification from KAIST International Relations Team
  • 5) Accepted students should complete the payment to confirm your participation of KISS

Required documents

  • 1) Official Academic transcript(s) of all semesters

    - All transcripts must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation

    - Unofficial transcripts must be certified by the advisor/coordinator at your home university/institution.

  • 2) Copy of passport (information page)
  • 3) English Proficiency Test score (only for students from non-English speaking countries)
  • 4) Certificate of health for KAIST Admission form(file Certificate of Health Form.pdf)
  • 5) Proof of health insurance

Mandatory Fee

Tuition

Track 1: Course-oriented Program

  • 3 credits (1 course): KRW 1,200,000
  • 6 credits (2 courses): KRW 2,400,000

* Exemption may be given to those who are attending KISS as exchange student.
* Must confirm with your coordinator if you are from our partner university.



Track 2: Individual Research Program

  • 1 credit: KRW 1,500,000

* There is no tuition exemption for Individual Research Program.

Payment method

All payment MUST be paid through our online application system.
Students should confirm their participation in KISS by completing the payment.

Cancellation

Application fee is non-refundable. Students who would like to withdraw from KISS after completing the payment for tuition and
program fee should immediately contact KAIST International Relations Team at summerschool@kaist.ac.kr.
